Selected lines of poetry from W.H. Auden’s poem As I Walked Out One Evening, inspired Abby Leigh to create the imagery for One Evening.
Randy Hemminghaus developed and proofed the nine Solarplate intaglios from the images. e plates were editioned by Kristen Cavagnet at the Brodsky Center for Innovative Editions. Laura Oxendine collaborated with the artist to create the lines of poetry that were printed letterpress by Peter Kruty and Sayre Gaydos. e colophon and copyright are printed in Garamond type. e cotton and translucent abaca papers were developed for this edition and made at Dieu Donne Papermill. Barbara Mauriello designed and bound the edition of 30 copies and 10 proofs.
